Show time

This one is slightly unusual. First of all, it is stand-up comedy and not a musical interlude from a Hollywood movie; and secondly it is Eddie Izzard. What? I hear you cry. That arch-europhiliac? Well, maybe. I find it hard to take Eddie Izzard's politics seriously. His Russian accent that slides imperceptibly into Welsh (or French in another monologue), on the other hand, has me in stitches. Also, the man must be a cat owner or shares his life with one or more cats. He knows them so well.

Here is Eddie Izzard explaining what would have happened if the phyisiologist Ivan Petrovich Pavlov had conducted his famous experiments with cats instead of dogs. The Nobel Prize for medicine would have been a write-off.
